The Millennium Institute on Green Ammonia as an Energy Vector (MIGA) was established in 2022 under the Millennium Science Initiative of the National Agency for Research and Development (ANID), within the Chilean Ministry of Science, Technology, Knowledge and Innovation. In 2023, MIGA became a non-profit foundation under private law, consolidating its role as a national platform for interdisciplinary research and international collaboration. MIGA’s mission is to promote scientific excellence, train advanced human capital, and develop knowledge and technologies related to the sustainable production and use of green ammonia as an energy vector. The Institute is composed of researchers from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, Universidad de Santiago de Chile, Universidad Austral de Chile, and Universidad de Talca.
