Exploring the Research Topics of SoAE 2026
The global transition toward cleaner and more sustainable energy systems is accelerating the development of innovative fuels and technologies capable of reducing greenhouse gas emissions while ensuring energy security. In this context, the 5th Symposium on Ammonia Energy (SoAE 2026), to be held for the first time in Latin America, will bring together researchers, industry leaders, policymakers, and students to discuss the latest scientific and technological advances in ammonia energy and emerging Power-to-X (PtX) solutions.
As part of the Call for Abstracts, SoAE 2026 invites contributions across a broad range of interdisciplinary topics that address both fundamental science and applied technologies related to ammonia and alternative energy vectors.

Research under this topic focuses on advances in materials development, processing, degradation, and performance for ammonia production, storage, transport, and utilization. Researchers, professionals, and students from around the world are invited to submit abstracts showcasing original research and recent advances in ammonia energy and Power-to-X technologies. All submissions will undergo peer review by the Scientific Committee, with selected contributions presented during the symposium as oral or poster presentations.
The 5th Symposium on Ammonia Energy (SoAE 2026) will take place from September 28 to 30, 2026, in Santiago, Chile, marking a major milestone for the region’s growing role in the global energy transition.
